2024 Asbestos Register – Luck House (Building 10)

Luck House Renovations

The 2024 inspection revealed that asbestos ceilings, walls, and contaminated fixtures have been successfully removed from
Luck Bathrooms at ground level and Classrooms L1, L2, and L7 at ground level. The recent inspection also revealed that asbestos
ceilings and walls have been removed in the boarding area on level one, including all rooms and the two bathrooms.

The recent inspection also revealed that asbestos ceilings and contaminated materials have been removed from the ensuites upstairs
at Luck Building. Additionally, asbestos ceilings have been removed in Luck Building Classrooms L3, L4, L5, and L6, and the ceilings and
walls have been reinstated as part of the Luck Building renovation.   Furthermore, the asbestos has been removed and reinstated in the
Luck Building entrance area and the main computer server room near the central entrance to Luck Building.

The inspection found the external cladding may conceal cement sheeting, however destructive sampling and
working at height activity would require approval.

Unable to obtain samples from under tin cladding on externals. The type of material is unknown.  

Presumed asbestos-cement sheeting suspected hidden behind external tin cladding.
